Tuzla Workshop

A workshop was held in Tuzla on October 2 and 3, 2023, organized by USAID and the IEEE section of BiH.
The topics of the workshop are current and related to flexibility in distribution EE networks. In addition to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, lecturers from the EU-Slovenia/Belgium, EE companies, EE market regulators and state regulators took part in the work.
At the invitation of the organizer in front of UNZE, the following participated in the work: Assoc. Ph.D. Mujo Hodžić, Ajla Čamdžić, Lamija Čolaković and Esma Aličić (PLF students).
The lecturers from the EU presented the solutions that exist in the EU countries, and the lecturers from Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the current situation with suggestions for future action.
The conclusion of all participants is that the electricity market cannot be optimized without solutions based on ICT technologies.
It is recommended that for optimization and flexibility in the EE network management segment, solutions based on: machine learning, digitization, digital transformation, automation... are used.
In this way, students expanded their knowledge in the segment of Electric Power, necessary for the development of new approaches and development of software solutions for the needs of the EE sector.
