The Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica and the company Softray Solutions signed a memorandum of cooperation

In the premises of the Polytechnic Faculty, University of Zenica, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between this educational institution and the company Softray Solutions, doo, which deals with finding advanced software solutions.

The signing was attended by the dean of the Polytechnic Faculty, Sabahudin Jašarević, the vice-dean for scientific and research work of the Polytechnic Faculty, Samir Lemeš, and the executive director of the company Softray Solutions, doo Emir Begagić, where it was agreed that in the spirit of the best mutual cooperation and goodwill, they will act in the interest strengthening and development of the information society in Zenica, exchange of experiences, organization of IT competitions for students, implementation of student internships and similar training of Faculty students, as well as encouragement and coordination of research and development of technical and technological achievements.

"Since its establishment, the Polytechnic Faculty has been developing and improving cooperation with companies from the surrounding area. In all three departments, students try to connect with companies from the surrounding area as early as possible, in order to find out what is expected of them in their future work before the end of their studies, but also to recognize their own qualities and tendencies, which they would then strengthen and thus better prepare for the labor market. . Only cooperation between the economy and the academic community guarantees better employability of personnel and strengthening of the personnel base for the economic growth of the domestic economy. Cooperation with IT companies is especially important for the new study department "Software Engineering", which was established last year with the intention of strengthening support for the construction of the information society in Bosnia and Herzegovina." said the dean of the Polytechnic Faculty, Sabahudin Jašarević.

The executive director of the company Softray Solutions, doo Emir Begagić, on this occasion expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with this educational institution, precisely because the "Software Engineering" course was only recently established at this Faculty, and pointed out that everyone should work together to promote this profession, in order to attract as many young people from Zenica as possible to the IT world, and added: "In addition to being dedicated to finding advanced software solutions for large global companies, our company also fosters a culture of knowledge transfer and improvement. In this regard, we want to provide professional support to these young people, all with the aim of quality preparation of personnel for work in the real sector of the IT industry," concluded Mr. Begagic.
