Students from the Department of Software Engineering at the Polytechnic Faculty visited the IT company Ministry of Programming in Sarajevo on April 24, 2025. In the relaxed atmosphere of the company, the hosts warmly welcomed the students, and through an interesting presentation and discussion, Mr. Aldin Omerdić presented the needs of the IT industry, the skills expected of candidates when applying for an internship or job, as well as the characteristics that are not desirable in these situations.
It was emphasized how important it is for students to be proactive in learning and improving themselves, because the IT industry is constantly evolving, and new technologies are replacing old ones. Students who are ready for teamwork, problem-solving and who look forward to challenges have a great chance of achieving a successful career in this field.
Also, the importance of being present on professional networks such as LinkedIn and constantly improving your CV was highlighted.
The visit and discussions were extremely useful, and our students asked numerous questions related to their further education and professional guidance in the world of information technology.
