Završila sam Međunarodnu srednju školu u Zenici 2019. godine, kada sam i upisala Politehnički fakultet u Zenici, odsjek Softversko inženjerstvo. Za vrijeme studiranja sam završila praksu u polju Data Analytics, u kojem sam odmah nakon prakse pronašla i posao 2021.godine u maju, u jednoj od vodećih IT firmi u državi – Atlantbh. Svoju bachelor diplomu sam stekla odbranivši rad na temu “Korištenje grafičkog procesora za obradu Big Data podataka”, sa prosjekom ocjena 9,9. Trenutno sam student na master studiju istog programa zbog želje da usavršim svoje poznavanje domene, ali i unaprijedim akademski pristup istraživanju i rješavanju problema.

I graduated from Second High School in Zenica in 2018. Given that I had previously chosen the profession in which I wanted to develop - IT, I was faced with a life decision, because previously there was no department in Zenica that suited me. At the very end of secondary education, we were informed that there would be a Software Engineering department at the Polytechnic Faculty from the same year, so my decision was to continue my education in Zenica. I devoted the first two years to studying and practicing, while in the third I completed my internship and continued to work during my studies. In the first cycle of studies, I graduated on September 9, 2021. Since then, I have changed the company where I work from February 2022 until today, and I enrolled in a master's degree in the same program in order to perfect and acquire additional knowledge and skills. I sincerely recommend this department to everyone who wants a quality education in the IT field and the achievement of business success. 

Like many young people in our city, after finishing high school, I faced a difficult decision - whether to continue my education in Zenica or in another city. Until 2018, in the profession I chose, IT, there was no adequate department in Zenica. However, in the same year when I graduated high school, a new department of Software Engineering at the Polytechnic Faculty was launched in Zenica. This news attracted a lot of attention, as well as students. From the year it was founded until today, the Department, as well as the Faculty itself, have noted the excellent quality of both curricular and extracurricular education, which is realized through guest lectures by experts from leading software companies such as Microsoft, as well as through various competitions. I believe that extracurricular education is crucial in the development of every student because it gives us the opportunity to look at certain problems that we will encounter in our future career from a different perspective. Also, the professors who teach at this Faculty are really experts and always do their best to convey as much knowledge as possible to the students and are always available to the students for any questions. I highly recommend this Faculty to everyone who wants to one day become a software engineer because it will prepare you well for the labor market.

Civil engineering is the oldest engineering and will always be needed. This occupation does not only mean working on the construction site, which is the first association of the majority, but includes a series of processes that need to be done in order to reach the final stage, which is the construction stage. At the Polytechnic Faculty, students have the opportunity to learn the basics that they will need in their future work, and what I would like to emphasize as a special feature of the Faculty is that the management and permanent employees are very open to cooperation. However, each study depends on the student; his motivation for learning and to what extent he wants to progress. Study should not be understood as merely learning what is provided by the curriculum and passing an exam, but as a chance to develop our mind and abilities, and our ultimate goal should be to work for the benefit of the social community. In addition, what is special for me at the Faculty is the fact that the majority of students attending the undergraduate course in civil engineering are girls, which will significantly affect the inclusion of girls in one of the STEM fields and the improvement of gender equality in this engineering. There is much that can be invented and improved in the world of construction, and all this awaits young, ambitious people who will be inspired by the wondrous nature of construction and who understand that the mirror of society, in large percentage, actually makes what is built.

If someone asked me what I study, I would say that I study the most interesting profession. Construction is a very interesting area. For this profession you need to be very professional. One of the reasons why I entered this faculty is that the professors and assistants always encourage you to research and offer literature that is beyond the recommended. In addition to a lot of work and persistence, at this faculty I also encountered a lot of laughter, friendship and good will, starting with the dean, vice-dean, professors, assistants and the staff who manage the Student Service. The changes introduced in the curriculum is a very positive thing, because in the construction sector something is always being refined and perfected. Also, it is important to note that the Polytechnic Faculty is the faculty with the most enrolled students at the University of Zenica. The Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica will surely exceed your expectations, because I know mine did, and if you want to be part of a quality, educated and innovative team, then the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica is the right choice!

My search for an academic title ended with enrollment at the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica.
Namely, before enrolling in 2012, my studies at various higher education institutions lasted relatively short and ended abruptly. Sometimes even before I would have completed one semester, which was due to my lack of interest (this was crucial first), which was due to the unattractiveness of the study programs, which was due to the "limited" teaching staff.
I literally fell in love with the study program "Manufacturing Business" at the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica.
The curriculum, the backbone of which was technical professional courses, expanded with economic courses with a focus on management and entrepreneurial spirit, seemed ideal for my preferences at the time, which have not changed to this day.
After continuing my studies, I continue my business career in the automotive industry in several international companies whose customers are the world's largest manufacturers of cars and car parts.
I can say with certainty that my studies at the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica were my professional guidance and a stepping stone in my business career.

For me, the Polytechnic Faculty is synonymous with understanding and expertise in every sense.
Starting from the Student Service, who perform their work with ease, to the Dean, who is always open to cooperation with students and the adoption of novelties, all with the aim of improving our education.

I am currently employed at "IGM-IUT Haskić", thanks to the wide range of knowledge I acquired at the Polytechnic Faculty, the right people recognized it.

Technical knowledge augmented by managerial and organizational skills is the right answer to today's constantly evolving market. In this way, much greater opportunities for employment and, ultimately, advancement in the profession are opened up.

After graduating college, I didn't wait long for a job. Through many years of work, I have gained experience in various positions, including: technologist for the production of steel and aluminum structures, constructor of hydraulic cylinders, technical sales of steel structures and steel products, and I am currently employed as a technician in the after-sales service in a renowned Austrian company that manufactures thermal energy plants on biomass.
There is a wide range of jobs that can be performed after graduation, and after several years of experience in the profession and application of the knowledge gained at the university, it is a real possibility to successfully establish and manage your own business.

After finishing high school education, I wanted to progress and get an education at a higher education institution whose name I will proudly say and brag about being a student of such an institution. From the first day spent at the Polytechnic Faculty, I simply knew that I had made the right choice and that it was the environment I wanted. I am a second-year student at the civil engineering department and I am very proud of it. Starting with the dean, vice-dean, professors, associates, assistants, demonstrators, all the way to the staff managing the Student Service - you must be delighted. The teaching staff of the Polytechnic Faculty consists of professors with many years of work experience that they will be happy to share with you and train you to be quality engineers. Also, our faculty consists of a young staff of assistants who selflessly share their acquired knowledge with students and are always available for help. In addition to insisting on high-quality and proven basics in every field and subject, the faculty management regularly improves the curriculum in all departments, and in this way our faculty follows modern engineering, new work methods and modernization in all areas of science. Students who choose our faculty are also offered regular professional visits that prepare students for what awaits them after graduation. The real indicator of quality are the generations of engineers who immediately after graduating from the Polytechnic Faculty got employment in companies, were engaged in various projects or simply continued their education in the 2nd cycle of studies. I entered this study as a second faculty, in addition to the completed Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and that speaks volumes about how representative and prosperous I consider this faculty. We live second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, when we suddenly see, quite a number of years have passed. And every time we realize that, it's usually time to decide something again, and direct our way through life in some way. One of those moments is choosing a faculty, so the continuation of my story began in Zenica, at the Polytechnic Faculty, Department of Civil Engineering. I thought and planned for a long time, various plans and ideas were in my mind, but every time I came back to the same one. If I saw an impressive building by its appearance, shape, I would think about it for a long time...what can we do? What mark can we leave? Who are the people who made it? And so I became part of the Department of Civil Engineering in Zenica. Our faculty has different teaching staff, professors and assistants who, in addition to theoretical knowledge, pass on their experiences from the field, so they make a very good team. A team of people who want to transfer their knowledge and experience to students, as much as possible. Of course, a lot can always be changed, it is only important that we go in the right direction, towards improvement. The changes introduced in the curriculum is something that I would especially emphasize as a very positive thing, because every day something new appears in the construction sector, which the faculty management wants to follow. The cooperation of students with professors and assistants is exceptional, because they are always available for our questions. So that all together, professors, assistants, faculty staff, us students and you who come to us with the desire to be a part of us, make a guaranteed formula for success.

The Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica is an excellent opportunity for people who want to do a very interesting and dynamic job. The Polytechnic Faculty is quite "young" but has a very high-quality teaching staff, so I would first of all praise the management of the faculty for that. They are constantly improving our faculty by improving the teaching staff every year, introducing more practice that is extremely important, and introducing a more innovative curriculum. The curriculum is designed to follow modern trends in the field of construction. Thanks to the professors, you will acquire a very good theoretical basis, thanks to which you will be very confident in your work. The relationship between professors and students is very correct. After I graduated from high school, I was faced with the decision of my life about where to continue my education in a country where it is difficult to find employment. When I enrolled at the Polytechnic Faculty, Department of Civil Engineering, I thought that my previous education, which was of a social nature, would be an obstacle for me. However, the polytechnic faculty, although recently established and formed, has reached a high standard of education according to modern international standards, which had a special impression on me as a student. The working conditions are excellent and the teaching is designed in such a way as to provide a wide range of quality knowledge that is necessary to successfully perform tasks in the chosen profession. In addition to extremely high-quality lectures in the classroom, students have many opportunities to gain insight into practical work in laboratories as well as in the field. The teaching staff is extremely professional and approachable, imparting knowledge that follows modern trends in science and technology. Specialists who graduate from this faculty have exceptional knowledge bases, with the help of which they could be top engineers in their profession with minimal work experience. A person's life span is intertwined with a series of big decisions. One of those is certainly finishing high school, that is, choosing a college. As an excellent student of the "Edhem Mulabdić" Gymnasium in Maglaj, I had many choices before me. Many friends and acquaintances advised me and tried to impose their choice on me. I knew that such decisions are not made easily, but I didn't want to fall under the influence of other opinions just like that. Finally, when the time came for the final decision, I chose the Polytechnic Faculty over the University of Zenica. As I already mentioned, the decision was not easy, but time has shown that I was not wrong in any sense. The professor's eternal accessibility is certainly one of the reasons for everything nice that I have to write about this institution. The conditions provided to us, the students, are more than satisfactory, and the story would not be complete if I did not mention the extracurricular staff who are ready to help at any time. A beautiful story is rounded off by the professionalism and the amount of knowledge that our assistants convey to us, who often come down to the level of us students in order to bring us closer to what they need to explain to us. I am currently a second-year student in the civil engineering department, and the time to come, as well as the time that has passed, will have a great impact on me and my future vocation. Certainly, if you decide on the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica, your choice will not be questioned, and so will the knowledge you will take with you as an academic citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Every beginning is difficult, including the beginning of education in a new environment, with new subjects, new people with whom you sit in the classroom and new people who educate you for your professional future... A good choice of faculty is very important and crucial for further education and life in general. First of all, you need to choose what you like and want to study and what you have an affinity for. This faculty provides quality prerequisites for acquiring knowledge but also for gaining life experience. As you know, no college is easy, and neither is this one, but with will and effort, you will more easily achieve your goals. We have a more than fair relationship with professors and assistants. They try to improve their lectures and exercises with presentations and practical examples in order to make them as interesting and easy to learn as possible and create a realistic perception of the future that awaits us. For the Polytechnic Faculty, it is not crucial which high school you graduated from, because the plan and program is based on starting from scratch with each subject, but you must still have quality prior knowledge, especially work habits and the desire to acquire knowledge in a closely related field. A good example and indicator of the quality of this faculty is the practical teaching and numerous visits to places that can and should be more than useful for gaining knowledge and preparing for future professional engagement. The faculty's professional staff, their openness and adaptation to the needs of students, starting from the friendly head of student services and ending with the dean himself, are a sure indicator of the right choice of the Polytechnic Faculty as a place to acquire the necessary knowledge and determine life and professional directions.

As a high school student, I spent a lot of time thinking about which university to enter. By the beginning of my senior year, I had more ideas and many cities in my head. However, my final decision, I will understand later, was influenced by the professionalism and kindness of the representatives of the Polytechnic Faculty in Zenica, who came to my school that day to introduce this institution to us young people. I realized that it is a vocation that attracts me and that is what I want to study. After two years, as I have been here for now, I can say that I have not regretted at any moment. Excellent conditions for work, advancement and training have reached a high level for this period of the faculty's existence, and hundreds of students who have studied or are studying here are witnesses of such a healthy and above all successful collective. Modern laboratories and equipped classrooms are a guarantee of quality education, and professional and high-quality staff of professors and assistants are always at hand for any kind of help. As a student of the Department of Civil Engineering, I can say that external collaborators, as well as professors from the home faculty in Zenica, have exceptional skills as far as the practical level is concerned, and at any moment they can answer any disagreement, question or provide any other form of help. In addition to theoretical lectures and exercises led by our assistants, we also have computer centers at hand, with plenty of well-equipped computers. Today's construction is virtually unimaginable without the use of the latest software that helps with calculations, design and drawing of complex construction objects and details. At our faculty, there are already mentioned computer centers that give and provide their students with exceptional skills for managing just such programs for such complex operations. Kindness, professionalism, equipment and opportunity for improvement and advancement is what attracted me here. I hope that young people will choose this faculty, because progress in such an exceptional collective is not in question.
