Course syllabus
Spatial voltage state. Principal stresses and strains. Relationship between stress and strain. Flat state of deformation. Deformation work. Twisting of non-round rods. Twisting of a beam of arbitrary solid section. Twisting of open and closed thin-walled beams. Bending deformations. Elastic lines. Determining the deflection and inclination of the beams. Statically indeterminate beams. Effect of temperature on deformation. Oblique bending. Composite beams. Reinforced concrete beams. Curved elements. Beams on elastic supports. Buckling. Buckling in the elastic region. Euler's critical force. Buckling in the plastic region. Dimensioning of centrically and eccentrically loaded columns. Calculation of structures according to the theory of plasticity. A model of an ideal elastoplastic material. Condition of plasticity. Elements stressed in the plastic region. Effect of unloading, residual voltages.
