As part of the faculty's activities "Strengthening cooperation between the faculty and the economy", we invite students and other interested parties to a public lecture by representatives of the company NCB Nanotechnologies.

Date: Friday, April 11, 2025. year
Time: 11:00 AM
Location: Amphitheater of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica (room 3202)

The lecturer is a representative of the company Husein Isaković, a production engineer.

RCB Nanotechnologies is engaged in the extraction/recovery of a substance called Carbon Black, which is actually industrial soot – a black, high-tech industrial material used worldwide. Carbon Black consists of +95% carbon and is produced by a combustion process. The raw material used in this process is heavy oil fractions extracted during the cracking process in a refinery. Almost every black rubber or plastic product contains Carbon Black. By far the largest user is the tire industry (almost 70% of the amount produced worldwide is used to produce new tires), and it is also used as a basic raw material in the production of plastics, toners, coatings and inks. RCB Nanotechnology is engaged in the exploitation of a part of the raw material that was previously unused and at the same time prevents pollution, all with the aim of returning high-quality Carbon Black to the production cycle.
