Introduction. A brief history of programming languages. About procedural programming. Dev-C++ software package. Basics of programming. Program structure. The compilation process. Variables. Memory. I/O flow routers. Comments. Identifiers. Data types. Operators. Arithmetic, relational, logical, bitwise, incremental, decremental, conditional, join and split operators (comma operator), sizeof operator. The typedef keyword. Hierarchy of operators. Commands. Simple and complex commands. The if statement. The switch command. The while statement. Order to. N order for Functions. Definition of functions. Parameters and arguments. Global and local variables. Recursive functions. Overloaded functions. arrays. Defining and initializing fields. Multidimensional fields. Pointers and references. The basics of pointers and references, dynamic memory. Files. The fstream standard library. Basics of working with files. Examples of engineering programs. Selected examples of programming concrete simpler engineering calculations
